NO Ranbir Kapoor In 2014

Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet starring the actor has been now pushed to next year.

Bombay Velvet is undoubtedly Anurag Kashyap’s magnum opus. The period drama has Ranbir Kapoor playing a street fighter who goes on to become the manager of a jazz club by the same name. Everyone, including RK, was waiting for the curtains to go up on the musical in November but Mirror has learnt that the film will not be unveiled before May 2015.

Confirming the news Anurag told Mirror, “We have just realised that it will take us a long time to finish the VFX which we had not anticipated. I’m recreating a bygone era but I had not imagined that it needs so much of postproduction. I’m finally learning what it takes to make a big film.”

According to a source close to the development, although the shoot has wrapped up, only 25 per cent of the special effects are done. “The Mumbai you will see is very different from the city we know today. It will be January before the VFX is completed. Even the background music is still to be recorded ,” the source added.

Buzz is, RK is unhappy with the film and wants a major portion to be reshot. However, when this query was posed to him, Ranbir responded saying, “We are very proud of Anurag’s vision of Bombay Velvet and want to put the best product out. The film’s VFX is taking time and hence we have decided to move to May. We don’t want to do a hasty job.”

Mirror (April 17) had earlier broke the news that Anurag’s ambitious drama, which was initially scheduled for a Christmas 2014 release, had been pushed forward by three weeks to November 29. The move was prompted by a prudent need to avoid a clash with Raj Kumar Hirani’s alien fantasy, PK, which had not only swooped down on its festival date, but also arm-twisted exhibitors into blocking screens for two weeks (December 19 and January 1) to ensure has an uninterrupted initial run.

So Aamir Khan can play Santa this winter while RK gears up for a summer release.

Tamasha: Story of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s film revealed!

Director Imtiaz Ali’s second film Jab We Met and his fourth film Rockstar were super successful, but his last film Highway wasn’t a great success at the box office – although critically acclaimed. We all know that Imtiaz’s much awaited biggie Tamasha stars ex-lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone as the leading pair. And guess what – the story of the film has just been revealed.

The Characters of Tamasha:

 According to credible sources from DNA, Ranbir will be in a never-seen-before nomad avatar. To those of you who were thinking it will be similar to Ranbir’s character in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, to your surprise, it’s not. Also, Deepika Padukone will play a bubbly girl, who is on a trip to Corsica following the trail of her favourite characters from comics, Asterix and Obelix.

The Story of Tamasha:

Ranbir-Deepika’s characters meet on the trip and start falling for each other. Love develops between them, as they both fancy Asterix and Obelix. What’s more, the leading couple will also be seen performing and staging ‘Tamashas’ or stage acts all over the island, and hence the name of the film.

This is the basic plotline of Tamasha, but Imtiaz Ali will definitely not direct such ‘simple’ stuff. It will be an unusual love story just like his Socha Na Tha, Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar and Highway. At least, we hope so!

Ranbir Kapoor to play a nomad in Tamasha

And Deepika is a fan of French comics, in Imtiaz Ali's next.

After playing an ambitious street fighter in Anurag Kashyap'sBombay Velvet, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as a nomad who entertains people while on his travels, in Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha.

Revealed our source from the film's unit, "RK plays a free spirit who wants everybody around him to be happy. He doesn't have a permanent home but wanders from place to place, going out of his way to please people."

Ranbir Kapoor angry about leaked photos from Tamasha sets

It seems all the leaked pictures and videos from the sets of his next film Tamasha are getting to actor Ranbir Kapoor.

According to a recent report, he's even requested director Imtiaz Ali to increase security on the sets. This could mean lesser phone use for those present there.

Why he would feel this way makes sense considering photos revealing both his and Deepika Padukone's (also starring in the film) looks in the film, found their way to the internet. Not much later a video showing them shooting for a song followed.

It's being reported even Deepika Padukone is unhappy with bystanders using their phones to record the actors while they work.

OMG: Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s love nest is worth Rs 20 crore?

That Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif will be moving in together is an old goss now. But what many of you might not know is that their love nest is worth a stupendous Rs 20 crore. Don’t adjust your eyes because you read that right!

The alleged lovebirds were looking for a house together, in Bandra, for quite some time now. However, their search came to an end when they zeroed in on a plush duplex apartment on Hill Road, Bandra recently.

And guess what? The so-much-in-love couple have been shopping for their new home already. Apparently, Kat has been busy buying kitchenware and rare artifacts from South Africa to adorn the house, while the couple was there, shooting for their forthcoming film, Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos.

Ranbir Kapoor to meet Katrina Kaif's mother Suzanne?

They haven't even made their relationship official yet but buzz has it that Ranbir Kapoor is wasting no time in meeting rumoured girlfriend Katrina's Kaif mother Suzanne Turquotte in London.

Whether they admit it or not there sure seems to be some huge development taking place. First there were the reports claiming they were buying a flat together and moving; then came the romantic GETAWAYS and now finally this.

Reportedly Katrina Kaif has already met Ranbir's family including matriarch Krishna Raj. And his latest trip to London will have Ranbir meeting her mom but it won't be the first time. Ranbir and Katrina, along with their mothers Neetu Singh and Suzanne, have reportedly already met before.

But the sudden shift in gears has us wondering that there could be more.

He's reportedly finishing his shoot in Corsica for Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha opposite ex Deepika Padukone, and will soon have some free time on his hands. And we guess it makes sense to use it for the best - a little trip to London.

My life has become like a screenplay: Ranbir Kapoor

There’s been a lot of speculation about Ranbir Kapoor moving out of his family home, Krishna Raj. Some rumours have it that his father, Rishi Kapoor, doesn’t approve of his alleged girlfriend Katrina Kaif’s frequent visits to their house. Others suggest that the couple has finalised a duplex on Hill Road, Bandra (W), for a whopping Rs. 20 crore.

Flummoxed by all the talk, the actor says, “So much has been written about it, it has become like a screenplay — that my father fought with me, or that my mother is saying something, and someone is demanding that I go outside. It’s so silly.”

Ranbir clarifies that the Kapoors will be moving out, but only temporarily, while their bungalow gets redeveloped. “I’ve said it earlier, and I’m not a liar. When the house is ready, we’ll all come back together. I guess I also don’t clarify things,” he says, adding, “There’s no sense of negativity to the entire process. We’re making the same house bigger.

Prod him about why he keeps his distance from the media, and the actor justifies, “If there’s no film release, what do I talk about? What do I say to whatever is written about me, throughout the year? (It will only lead to) one clarification after the other.” Ranbir also comments on Katrina’s open letter to the media last year, after pictures of them holidaying abroad were leaked. He says, “Let bygones be bygones. We are all moving forward in our lives.”
